Job Title: ADE Software Engineer JAVA 3Location: 10001 Jack Finney Blvd. Greenville Texas 75402Duration: 12 MonthsMajor purpose:This engineer would be working daily with members from multiple software engineering team members to develop, maintain, test, integrate software in development, integration, and target environments.Major functions:Essential Functions:Software design, implementation, integration.The investigation and resolution of defects.The evaluation of change requests from stakeholders.Researching new software concepts.Technical/Functional skills:Qualifications:An active Secret DoD Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.See minimum number of years of education and experience required (above)4+ years of software development with an object oriented programming language (C++, Java)4+ year(s) of professional experience with a software development process (Agile, Waterfall)Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycleAble to write well designed, testable, efficient codeAble to ensure designs are in compliance with specificationsAble to prepare and produce releases of software componentsAble to support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural reviewAble to learn new things quickly and rapidly prototype. Preferred Additional Skills:Active or able to obtain a Top Secret ClearanceLinux System Experience o Shell Scripting Experience o Centos/Redhat Image Customization, Kickstart ScriptingProgramming Experience o Multi-threaded Java, C/C++ o Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns. o Experience with user interface design, database structures and statistical analyses. o Network socket programmingExperience in developing web applications using at least one popular web frameworkProject, Build, Package Management Experience o Git, SVN o Artifact Repositories: Maven, NPM, Docker RegistrySoft Skills and Attitude o Able to work with flexible goals or shifting scope. o Able to be self-directed and work in team environments.Education/Experience/Licenses etc.:What is the minimum number of years of education and experience required?Requires proficient knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
