Counter Associate

Counter/Warehouse Associate Carrier Enterprise distributes Carrier, Bryant and Payne residential and light commercial HVAC equipment products throughout the U.S. Sunbelt, Latin America and the Caribbean through 110 locations in 20 states and Puerto Rico, serving over 19,000 air conditioning and heating contractors. We currently have an exciting opportunity within the South-Central Region for a Counter/Warehouse Associate for our store in our Garland, TX location. Company Website: Job Summary: The Store/Warehouse Associate will be responsible for promoting sales of HVAC replacement components and aftermarket products to our Customer/Dealer Network and HVAC Contractors. This person will also be responsible for coordinating daily warehousing activities. Below are additional duties: * Responsible for promoting sales of HVAC replacement components and aftermarket products to our Customer/Dealer Network and HVAC Contractors. * Establish and maintain good relations with customers by providing prompt and courteous service for all customers and potential customers of the Branch, including walk-in and telephone calls. * Effectively communicate features and benefits of HVAC products and actively promote our private label brand * Follow and adhere to all safety, health, security and environmental standards. * Restocking of shelves and assist in unloading products with the ability to operate a forklift; may require lifting of up to 50 lbs. Qualifications: * HS Diploma or equivalent required * Prior forklift certification preferred * 1-3 years'' experience in HVAC sales preferred, counter sales or other pertinent industry sales experience * Excellent customer service skills; good computer skills required (Microsoft applications) * Our Products are commercial and residential HVAC parts and equipment, therefore, experience working with contractors is desired. * Forklift certification required and clamp truck certification preferred. * Shipping / Receiving system experience is a must. * Be proficient with Microsoft Office applications. * Must have excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills. * Knowledge of HVAC a plus, but not required. * Extensive Customer Service Experience * Warehouse experience - prefer 2 years * Strong interpersonal skills * Good math skills * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal * Ability to work independently * Comfortable with heights up to 30 ft. and lifting to 50 lbs.
