How you will make 10x impact:Create, experiment, and build frictionless user experiences focused on new ways of interacting with cutting edge software engineering tools.Drive front end engineering and UI/UX design for technologies, products, and tools that optimize software development and developer productivity Perform hands-on research to glean insights that directly impact design decisions and strategic planning Work effectively with cross-functional teams of engineers, scientists, and domain experts.Rapidly develop prototypes to evaluate feasibility; dispassionately assess performance and help the team scope next steps Built tools for code analysis, visualization and annotationWhat you should have: BS/MS in CS, EE or equivalent practical experience3+ years experience across front end development and tools developmentCustomer first mindsetExperience partnering with UX ResearchExperience building and launching world class tools and web applications Solid software engineer passionate about development and the future of software engineeringAbility to work in a small team / rapid prototyping environment and deal with uncertainty and fluidityIt''d be great if you also had these: Experience with designing and engineering functionality for IDEs / other developer toolsExperience with Google services and infrastructureExperience working in a startup or research environmentFamiliarity with data analytics and/or ML modelingAt X, we don''t just accept difference - we celebrate it, we support it, and we thrive on it for the benefit of our employees, our products and our community.
