THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING: • Manage all activities of the Manufacturing Control Team, with emphasis on maintaining positive employee relations while expediting the resolution of safety, quality, design, process, and component availability problems. • Lead Manufacturing Control Team with an emphasis on positive performance in meeting customer commitments while initiating steps to correct performance issues. Perform scheduled employee performance evaluations and develop personnel skills via training and support. • Ensure that all Company Safety Management System (CSMS) policies are followed and all personnel operate in accordance with OSHA standards. Ensure proper accident investigations are conducted for incidents involving department personnel and implement safety program improvements as needed. • Create and manage information flow, project releases, and detailed production schedules to meet planning and delivery requirements for on-time product shipment. • Coordinate and manage the Master Schedule and support activities with Sales, Project Managers, Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Accounting, Purchasing and Production. Ensures production schedules are maintained to meet current planning objectives. Regularly communicate the current production schedule and insure any required corrective actions to meet customer commitments are implemented. • Develop and maintain standard hours of manufacturing for base units, options and special circumstances. Coordinate with Accounting and Manufacturing to evaluate and publish accurate organization performance, efficiency, utilization and productivity results. Review and report daily, weekly, and monthly production reports and metrics. • Work closely with Sales, Manufacturing, Purchasing and other departments to review and schedule new orders and answer order inquiry questions, including the elements of transformer design, material procurement, manufacturing, testing and site installation. • Perform capacity planning by developing and maintaining capacity planning tools. Maintains an up to date slot schedule and regularly review with Sales and Design Engineering. • Coordinate with Manufacturing Manager to ensure manufacturing technicians are trained and qualified to perform their job functions. • Train others to effectively maintain and use planning systems and in the use of SAP. • Work closely with Manufacturing, Plant Engineering, and EHS to ensure the department budget is maintained and data is utilized. • Ensure all Manufacturing Control department activities are performed with the highest of standards and ethics. • Further the goals and positive, professional image of Hyosung HICO by conducting business with other Hyosung HICO divisions, departments, suppliers, etc. in a timely and cooperative manner. • Know Hyosung HICO''s Quality, Safety and Environmental Policies. Be able to fully discuss the importance of these policies and how they impact work. THE NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING: • Support and assist the Operations Manager as needed. • Assist in coaching and training cross functional Manufacturing Teams in data collection, problem solving and in achieving their operational goals and objectives. • Initiate and manage special projects, with emphasis on improving quality, productivity, and safety. • Support and make recommendations to improve Company policies and procedures. • Prepare, manage and maintain process procedures as required. • Conduct new employee orientations covering product, process, safety, quality and environmental information. • Perform other duties as assigned. EDUCATION/SPECIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: • Bachelor''s Degree in business, engineering or related discipline, plus minimum of 8 years experience in manufacturing planning assignments, with at least 5 years'' prior experience in management and at least 3 years experience in a leadership role in a Lean manufacturing environment, or equivalent education and experience. • Advanced skills in a variety of production planning and scheduling techniques within manufacturing (both ERP and non-ERP methodologies). • Advanced knowledge of MRP/ERP system functionality and component interactions. • Advanced analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with ability to prioritize and multitask. • Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment. • Developed communication and interpersonal skills. • Developed organizational and time management skills. • Working knowledge of computer systems, emphasizing MS Office, relational databases, computer-based planning systems and ERP systems.
