Programming Coordinator

WOI/KCWI, the ABC/CW affiliate in Des Moines has an opening for a Programming Coordinator to join our team. This position will be responsible for daily scheduling and execution of the station''s programming strategy. Responsibilities: Excellent organizational and communicational skills and the ability to take independent action while maintaining a strong work ethic and attention to detail. Maintain all program contractual requirements and schedule programs and episodes in MediaStar. Generate weekly program schedules and distribute to listings services and in-house Monitor network and local program changes and update schedules as needed Communicate program changes and updates to local staff and traffic hub Schedule and monitor E/I programming, following FCC guidelines for scheduling and makegoods Complete and upload FCC Quarterly Issue Reports and FCC Children''s Programming Reports In tandem with Sales, create opportunities for paid program time periods Generate contingencies for all live programming events Generate on-air and online notifications for last minute program changes Serve as backup for Traffic Copy Coordinator Requirements: Proficient in Excel, television program software, MediaStar preferred, and television traffic system, WideOrbit preferred Detail oriented and ability to work effectively between multiple departments Collaborative attitude Work Environment: Office Physical Demands: Light work Travel: Rarely: less than 10% About TEGNA TEGNA Inc.
