Duration: 12 months Description: Non-Exempt Role special project Measurement gauge build-up (work with supplier) supporting new production expansion, current production line system rebuild, new development No international travel is expected for the first year. For the 2nd year and after, there may have some opportunities and will be upon projects. The estimation would be 0 ~ 20 %. As for domestic travel, it would be 10 ~ 30%. Most of the travel would be visiting supplier locations within New York state or around, or on-site support to Harrodsburg, Kentucky. I am looking for a candidate with the capability to travel independently. When does travel start and for how long? For the international travel, there is not confirmed schedule yet. if it becomes an assignment, the most likely will be next June or after. Typically, a trip to Asia will be a 2-4 weeks working period excluding quarantine due to travel restrictions. The role will be part of an international team. The candidate would be required to work across cultures, sometimes means to have evening meeting (not often, few times per month). Experience in measurement system integration, optical/ mechanical alignment, motion control or software skill would be high want. Able to understand CAD and electric drawings Able to follow the organization''s priority and Self-motived to achieve the assignment goal. Interpersonal skill able to communicate via mail/ phone Summary: Encompasses the application of scientific, mathematical, and statistical techniques in the determination of dimensions, quantity, or capacity of products or processes. Designs develops and implements testing methods and equipment. Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices. Provides test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed. Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements. Requirements: Sound knowledge of job and a substantial acquaintance with the general aspects of the job. Intermediate level technical understanding. Implements standard procedures and proposes intermediate-level modifications to improve workflow. Still generally obtains input to solve more complex problems. Works under general site supervision. Able to gather information independently using established and defined procedures. Able to train new employees to established procedures. Takes initiative in the area of continuous improvement. Uses some discretion. Contacts are typically within the organization. May occasionally have contacts with others outside of the organization to seek clarity or ask for interpretation. Daily responsibility Role as a measurement technician support projects including local and oversea. Responsible on identified gauges. will be trained (including document, OJT, self-learning, and following step by step procedure) to support system build-up, debugging, and FAT to ensure the systems are ready to ship. Assistant on development gauge build-up, lab test, on-site test, data collection (under coaching) Assistant on document material collection. It would be plus if able to draft a technical procedure.
