$24.00/hour 1st Shift M-F Temp. to Perm. Contract Need to have experience - 5 years POSITION SUMMARY We are currently seeking Tool Setter and Tool Purchasing: responsible for CNC machines tools in our tool crib. Your job duties include taking the measurement of reference points for setting tool length, make adjustments, calibrate machine pre-setter, purchasing and ordering tools needed for shop production. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Purchasing Carbide tools, inserts, drills as required per operation tool list, at lowest price available from variety of vendors without sacrificing quality. 2. Order documentation: create purchase order, trace receivables and reconcile invoices with accounting. 3. Set-up tooling per set-up sheet and deliver to appropriate machine as well as assist machinists and other employees as needed to dispense tooling and fixtures. 4. Collect tooling from completed jobs, tear down and sort tooling and place in assigned location. 5. Assist with setting min/max quantities and initial order of tools to start new lines and stock tool crib. 6. Track tooling issues 7. Anticipate tooling needs according to schedule and assemble tooling kit(s) for upcoming setups. 8. Work with Tool Crib Lead to initiate ordering of back-up tools and inserts for machining centers, communicate with coworkers to maintain continuity between shifts and proper inventory levels of tooling. 9. Issue tools and equipment to Plant floor and maintain records of tools and fixtures on company tooling system. 10. Maintain tool setting area clean and organized for easy locating of parts and supplies. Safety is a core value. Qualification and skills ● High school diploma or equivalent ● Ability to read measurement equipment (calipers and Micrometers) ● Math skills to perform basic calculations. ● Read and interpret blueprints. ● Demonstrate attention to details. ● Able to concentrate, focus and pay attention to detail to fulfill their role and responsibility. ● Able to locate, identify, troubleshoot, correct, and document tooling problems. ● Able to identify unusual tool usage or breakage and recommends corrective actions. Physical Requirements ● Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. ● Noise levels ranging from quiet to extremely loud. ● Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the manufacturing floor including, but not limited to, eye, ear, and foot protection. ● May occasionally lift and /or move up to 10-50 pounds.
