THOR Solutions is actively seeking a Model-Based Systems Engineer that understands the complexity of maritime platforms and the DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) requirements to support the US Coast Guard (USCG) in Washington, DC . The engineer will help create the architecture framework for a brand new USCG platform in development. They will lend their expertise to accomplish Enterprise Architecture boards that go in front of USCG and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) personnel. The candidate''s responsibilities may include (but are not limited to) performing or supporting the following actions: Support the USCG program office. Review teams of new architectures for the platform. Quantify the changes that will occur against the Enterprise Architecture that will be developed. Citizenship Requirements: Due to the requirements of the federal contract that this position supports, U.S. citizenship is required. Citizenship will be confirmed via I-9/E-Verify at the start of employment. Security Clearance Requirements: Must already possess or be able to qualify for and obtain upon hire a SECRET security clearance, and maintain it for the duration of employment. Required Education, Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Bachelor''s degree in a relevant technical discipline. At least three (3) years of experience supporting Acquisition Program(s) (DHS/USCG Level I-3, DoD ACAT I-IV or equivalent) in the development of Enterprise Architecture products. Proficient with System Architect Tool/Software (developed by Unicom). Familiar with developing and reviewing enterprise architecture artifacts in accordance with the DoDAF. Familiarity with common productivity software, including Microsoft SharePoint and Teams. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
