The Sr. Manufacturing Engineer-Automation & Controls provides process, truck, and facility automation innovation, support, and project management. Will operate within the organizational structure to provide process, truck, and facility automation service to the Greenville Plant. Lead and manage daily production, innovation and continuous improvement project related to automation and controls. Supervise the Manufacturing Engineering Department in their daily work assignments and special projects. Analyze and recommend equipment for all areas of the manufacturing plant and engineering departments. Schedule and supervise the installation of capital projects into the plant. Support all areas of the manufacturing plant. Identify and implement quality improvements in assembly, paint, and manufacturing to ensure that product is received by customers to highest possible standard. Review and ensure accuracy of all standard hours entered, changed, for product manufactured in the facility. Make decisions on manufacture or buy of new parts. Assist in the determination, forecasting and control of operation budgets. Assist in all aspects of employee development including hiring, performance, attendance management and training. The Sr. Manufacturing Engineer-Automation & Controls Will Provide the Following Key Accountabilities: Manage and lead the automation and controls manufacturing engineering staff. Select qualified personnel, train, and develop employees, monitor daily work assignments, facilitate and coach employees through special projects, carryout performance development reviews, approve overtime requests Lead Automation and Control innovation and CI projects Daily Production Support - Assist in assuring product schedules are maintained. Attend daily production meetings. Attend weekly special project meetings. Establish and follow-up on alternate methods. Introduce new products into production. Integrate with production, analyze equipment and process requirements. Present information to management. Work with plant engineer to improve and install equipment and processes Assist in developing long and short range capital plans.
