Software Engineer

The electrical systems development team is responsible for developing engineering tools that assist the wiring engineering teams. We develop solutions that allow these engineering teams to do more work, and more accurately while requiring less time.As a backend developer you will be responsible for developing the database and backend of a key and consequential engineering tool within this team. You will need to be strong in AWS, python and Java. You will be interpreting user stories and functional requirements to design and develop the microservices independently using AppSync, GraphQL, AWSLambda, SQS, DynoDB, etc. The candidate should be motivated by the challenge of delivering world class results on tight schedules.Primary responsibilities:* Review and contribute to the application architecture* Develop Cloud native highly available, scalable and secure microservices on AWS* Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance.* Implement the application''s CI/CD pipeline using the AWS CI/CD stack.* Write infrastructure as code using CloudFormation or similar.* Developing and implementing highly responsive user interface components using react concepts.* Writing and executing test cases for the application* Documenting and communicating lessons learned
