Job Number: 498107Supply PlannerAdvanced Resources has an immediate need for a Supply Planner for our client in the Houston area. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience with planning, production, purchasing and distribution preferably with a chemicals background.This is a direct hire opportunity in a highly employee focused organization with excellent tenure on the team. Position is open due to a retirement. Excellent benefits to include 80% of medical paid, bonus potential and an outstanding 401k program with a 100% match up to 6%.Key PointsSchedule: Monday - Friday, Onsite with one day work from home capabilitySalary: $95K PLUS (depending on experience)OverviewThe Supply Planner will control costs through inventory management while managing the most optimal method of delivering product to internal and external customers. Key attribute will be a strong planner with the ability to be the calming force in a chaotic environment, especially with current state of all supply chain issues. This person will need to be highly detailed and flexible.Responsibilities: Manage inventory to targets established by business. This includes styrene regionally and benzene/ethylbenzene.Determine production rates based on factors including established inventory targets and feedstock supply outlooks. Work with plant operations to implement the rate plan. Work in unison with supply planning colleague to maintain Supply Planning model) for the sites based on internal and external customer demand.Take the lead on improvements for both models (North and the South models).Coordinate with Logistics team, Planners, Customer Service, and Sales Managers.Work closely with Sales/Customer Service to respond to inquiries regarding supply, changes in demand and urgent requests. Supply detailed supply forecasts on a routine basis to Logistics for fleet planning purposes.Lead the weekly PSI (Production/Scheduling/Weekly) meetings, Logistics meetings, Operations meetings, and weekly plant run-plan meetings. Lead monthly Sales/Demand Planning meetings. Participate in monthly S&OP meetings and provide supply data.Maintain the PSI daily. This is includes updating the projected inventory, sales and production to provide an accurate plan in the face of a changing environment.Work with numerous exchange partners on styrene swaps based on volumes, timing and balances. Also, maintain styrene exchange contracts, balances and work with accounting to confirm balances.Participate in the annual Budget preparation processProvide data for monthly financial forecasts.Meet Month-end deadlines and complete month-end duties. This includes finalizing inventories, balancing the PSI, merchant demand reports, benzene/EB recap, etc.Nominate volumes for ships and barges for internal and external demand.
