Role : Senior Oracle/MySQL Database Administrator Location : Remote Client : Wesrock Duration: 12+ Months Job Description: Senior Oracle/MySQL Database Administrator Top Skills: Oracle/MySQL database administration working with Oracle/MySQL in AIX, Linux, and Windows environment. Must be able to maintain business SLA''s and develop new/updated standard processes to support the environment. Must have experience working in a large enterprise environment (200+ servers) covering Oracle 10g through 19c, MySQL 5.5 through 5.7 and MariaDB version 8. Must be able to develop Unix Shell scripts, Windows PowerShell scripts, SQL scripts and PL/SQL procedures. Must have experience in troubleshooting performance issues and provide resolutions. Experience in managing Oracle/MySQL/Maria DB in EC2, RDS in AWS is a plus. Experience working with AWS DMS, SCT will be plus. Experience with administration of MongoDB, PostgreSQL will be a plus Job requirements Degree - BA or BS in Computer Science, Information Management, or another related field preferred. 6+ years'' experience in an enterprise production environment supporting Oracle database environments (10G through 19c), MySQL (5.5 through 5.7)/MariaDB (5.5/10.4). In depth experience with development and setting up backup/recovery using RMAN, strategies to support Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity (log shipping, mirroring and/ replication) In depth knowledge in SQL tuning, AWR, PERFSTATS and Oracle trace. Strong skills in developing Unix scripts, Windows PowerShell scripts, SQL Scripts and PL/SQL. Experience managing database workloads in AWS, DMS, SCT is a plus. Recognizes the basic impact of technology on WestRock business, services, and processes Selects the most appropriate method to deliver communication and produces concise, well structured, and organized written and oral communications. Proficient in basic computer applications such as Office products Proficiency in installing and upgrading databases and performing system maintenance Proficiency in supporting a 24x7 operation Preferred Skills and Competencies Experience working in an enterprise environment supporting hundreds of database servers Proficiency in operating system commands and utilities as well as PowerShell Scripting and SQL skills. Proficiency working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform Knowledge of SOX Compliance for database environment Knowledge and experience with other database engines like SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB and NoSQL is a plus.
