ResponsibilitiesPOSITION SUMMARY:Prepares financial statements for internal and external users. Collects and analyzes financial data, ensuring that all reporting complies with SEC and GAAP reporting guidelines.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare the Company''s quarterly, annual and periodic filings Responsible for supervising and participating in the maintenance of various financial reporting systems including those necessary to generate the Company''s annual and quarterly filings Research accounting rules and regulations and makes recommendations regarding company policy Perform technical accounting research to ensure compliance with FASB, PCAOB and SEC guidelines Participates in monthly reviews of segment financial information Leads special projects, as assigned, and ensures their completion. Prepare technical accounting memos as needed Leads in external audit coordination and internal auditors as needed Regular and reliable attendance required. Ability to travel from time to time to corporate subsidiariesQualificationsKnowledge and Skills:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.• Be knowledgeable in the reporting requirements of the FASB and SEC• Certified Public Accountant• Hands-on experience applying the provisions of Generally Accepted Accounting PrinciplesEducation/Experience:Bachelor''s degree in accounting or related field from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 12 years of experience is required. In addition, a minimum of 5-6 years of experience at a big four accounting firm is preferred. Candidate must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
