Summary:This position is responsible for all distribution operations including third party labor, inbound/outbound transportation, inventory management, customer support activities for the Distribution Center in assigned geographical territory. Key responsibilities are employee relations and engagement, safety and security, cost control, inventory accuracy and governance, productivity management, quality, workload planning, customer service, load planning optimization and facilities management.Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee all operational aspects of the facility in order to manage and optimize the efficient flow of goods in and out of the Distribution CenterDirect and monitor daily activities to ensure quality, cost, delivery, safety and people objectives are achievedAchieve financial objectives by managing the sites operating budget and expenses along with staffing levels and productivity in order to maintain a cost-effective operationCreate an environment that promotes a strong sense of teamwork and a culture of respect. Work together safely, effectively, respectfully and efficiently with all team membersMonitor and maintain productivity, performance and development. Coach, counsel, motivate and encourage professional growthDrive operational changes as required and foster a continuous improvement cultureMentor and advise DC leaders with regard to operational and strategic decision making. Lead succession planning efforts and development efforts to build a strong leadership team and bench strengthLead in DC network projects/initiatives as assigned; identifies and leads DC-specific projects as neededActively listen and effectively communicate with all company team members, customers, carriers and 3PLs to ensure the right product is in the right place at the right timeAt the direction of SCL, work on strategic and special projects to drive improvement in cost, efficiency, and operational capabilitiesOversee the site loss prevention and security program to minimize inventory shrinkage and profit lossMaintain up-to-date key performance metric dashboards and create reports for internal and external customers and management as requiredOversee, implement, and maintain compliance with company and OSHA guidelines to create and maintain a safe working environment for all team membersPrevent team member incident or injuries by overseeing accident investigations, near miss reporting, root cause analysis and implementing necessary improvements to policies and procedures.Responsible for the overall financial management of the DC, including budget development, re-forecasting, and achievement. Monitors and approves all expenditures including payroll administration, building maintenance, and requests for capital. Monitors and verifies P & L reports to ensure the DC is tracking well against expectations.Required Education and Experience:Bachelor''s Degree or equivalent experience7 + years of Supply Chain or Manufacturing experience including 5+ years in a management or supervisory roleProficient in MS Excel, Word and PowerPointProven ability to lead and motivate othersStrong verbal and written communication skillsProven ability to influence /persuade all levels of staffProven ability to organize department work functions in an efficient and effective mannerDemonstrated management and conflict resolution skills Must possess a leadership presence and have the ability to positively influence the culture in an organization.Must demonstrate effective coaching and mentoring skills.Strong relationship management skills, including the professional maturity and confidence to work effectively with an executive team.Tactful, diplomatic, and collaborative with internal and external customers and suppliers Preferred SkillsLean Six Sigma, 5s, Kaizen facilitation, and PMO experience.Experience with SAP, Warehouse Management Systems, and TMS systemsAPICS CSCP Certification a plusISO/TS 16949 experience a plusBilingual in Spanish a plusCB
