A scaffold builder is responsible for the set up and dismantle different types of scaffolding. A scaffold builder should have knowledge of system, frame and brace, tube and clamp and suspended scaffold equipment. A scaffold builder is required to work as a member of an erection & dismantling crew and will build and dismantle scaffolds in accordance with company policies and OSHA standards.Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssisting in basing out scaffold.Passing on material using correct material handling techniques.Use scaffold hand stalling toe boards, guardrails, ladders, etc. on scaffold structures and cantilevers.Perform general duties which related to the scaffold activities and trade.Ability to identify hazards and safety risks and complete a Job Safety Analysis to control and mitigate those hazards.Perform proper work area preparation prior to start the erection, modification or dismantle of scaffolding and keep good housekeeping.Build scaffold properly and in accordance with common practices and OSHA standardsObserve safe practices and use proper climbing techniques.Loads, transport scaffold material from truck to lay-down areas using proper lift techniques.Take initiative if potential hazards ariseMaintain good housekeeping on jobs municate efficiently and respectfully with team membersPreferred SkillsAbility to follow instructionsComfortable with heights and physical laborProblem solving skillsEfficient communication skillsReliabilityFlexible schedule - Weekend Work, OVERTIMEWillingness to learn new concepts and ideasExperience in construction/scaffold industriesThe physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 40 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job.
