Our client is currently seeking a Handyman/ Drywall Repair Technician to work either alone or with others in the repair or replacement of damaged drywall, to apply texture to the repair in a manner that matches the surrounding surfaces, to prime and paint the repair or the entire wall/ ceiling, and perform other related work as assigned. Essential Functions: ● Accesses the damaged area to plan a course of action ● Takes measures to protect the surrounding area from damage and dust ● Performs repairs, texturing, painting, and cleanup ● May need to cut/repair/install wood trim in the immediate area of a drywall repair ● Enters information in a phone app, sends digital invoices, updates customer information ● Communicates with customer to determine acceptability of the work and asks for a review Competencies: ● Technical Ability ● Problem Solving/Analysis ● Customer Service Orientation ● Self-directed ● Dependable, Works without direct supervision ● Basic math competence to calculate job pricing when additional work is required Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, employee is frequently exposed to paint fumes or airborne drywall sanding dust. The employee is occasionally required to work on scaffolding up to 12-14 feet tall. Most work is performed indoors, but occasionally the employee will work outside, being exposed to varying weather conditions. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Employee will also use a variety of electric powered and hand-held tools. Employee will frequently work from ladders, work benches, and scaffolding. Employees will load supplies into a panel type truck and drive to customer''s location. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, typically 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. May include occasional weekend days. Travel: This role will have daily short-distance travel to customers locations. Take-home company vehicle with gas card provided after a 2-3 week trial period. Required Education and Experience: ● Excellent verbal and written communication skills ● 3 years minimum experience in drywall repair ● Interior trim carpentry experience a plus ● Must have clean driving record ● Valid driver''s license required Additional Info: Will require pre-employment National Criminal Background check, sex offender check, and drug screening. Signing bonus paid out upon successful completion of first 90 days of employment.
