Sr. AV Technician

Iron Bow Technologies is currently looking for a Senior Audio Visual Systems Technician (Sr. AV Tech) to support our customer on site. The customer facilities are located in Washington D.C with one facility located in Bowie MD. On site support may entail locations and venues in the DC Metro Area in addition to customer''s primary facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing AV support for all events. Certified candidates preferred, per qualifications desired below. Position requires background check, credit check, and candidate drug testing. You will have a strong passion for technology, particularly ensuring that the event venues are fully functional and well maintained. You have the ability to adapt to evolving products, software, and hardware. You have the tenacity to work with government counterparts and third party providers to ensure availability services are provided at a consistent service level. Duties and Responsibilities: Set up and install equipment such as microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, connecting wires and cables, sound and mixing boards for events and functions such as concerts, sports events, meetings and conventions, presentations, and news conferences. Supporting special events in theaters, auditorium, halls and conference rooms at Customer venues. Act as technical lead/technical support for events in all Customer venues Repair/maintenance of all Customer audio visual systems. Support installation of Customer''s temporary and permanent exhibits. Creating and maintaining, and cataloging technical system documents. Qualification Requirements: AV engineers shall have the following minimum qualifications: 5 years of experience working in audio visual design. 5 years of experience configuring and managing networked audio visual systems (Cisco certification preferred). Experience managing commercial & residential audio-visual designs from inception to deployment. Experience developing & reviewing system designs for consistency, accuracy, and efficiency. Ability to support design review of audio-visual flow diagrams, automation system layouts, elevations from inception to deployment. Experience working onsite & remotely performing system commissioning, staging, programming, testing and integration. General competency/knowledge of major AV vendor hardware and their product''s functionality. CTS-D certification preferred. Programming experience in Crestron, AMX and Medialon (certifications a plus). Experience programming audio DSP''s (Biamp, Ashly, Symmetrix, Crestron, and/or QSC. Certifications a plus). AutoCAD and/or Visio competency. Ability to work independently without close supervision. Multi-tasking & ability to meet project deadlines. Excellent computer, verbal, and written communication skills. Candidates should be driven, methodical, focused, have strong troubleshooting skills and possess the ability to self-manage.
