Business Analyst (Computer and Mathematical)

Responsibilities Recommend and define process and systems improvements Review, analyze and evaluate business user needs and develop requirements for projects and enhancements Evaluate project requests to understand, articulate and communicate project scope, costs, and benefits Recommend and specify process and systems improvements through analysis of system incidents, bug fixes, change requests Conduct analyses to investigate on-going or one-time operational issues Define system project plans by developing work breakdown structures highlighting key project milestones, phases, and elements, forming project teams, and establishing resource requirements and project budgets Monitor project progress by tracking activity, identifying, and remediating project risks, resolving problems, publishing progress reports, and recommending actions to keep projects on schedule and within budget Work alongside development teams to ensure full and accurate understanding of business requirements and specifications. Perform functional walkthroughs as needed throughout the development process. Develop test plans and specific test cases based on project requirements and systems specifications. Ensure the traceability of discrete requirements and specifications through structured documentation and test plans/cases to ensure appropriate test coverage. Manage the testing phases of projects tracking errors and fixes and ensuring appropriate regression testing of any effected system elements. Develop user acceptance test plans and partner with business units through the successful completion of user acceptance testing (UAT)
