Come be a part of the fastest growing segment of the energy industry!The Vice President of Maintenance Operations PositionSunnova Energy is currently searching for a Vice President of Maintenance Operations to be responsible for the maintenance operations of solar, storage, generator, and other renewable energy equipment within a national fleet. The VP of Maintenance Operations directs all aspects of the maintenance function and is responsible for the performance of equipment and systems according to established SLAs, goals, and metrics. Additionally, the VP of Maintenance Operations is responsible for costs, revenues, quality, internal and external providers, inventory, safety, and fleet. The position will provide direct guidance and oversee day-to-day operations of the service team, ensuring a smooth workflow with optimally performing assets.Vice President of Maintenance Operations ResponsibilitiesProvides direct, hands-on leadership, oversight, and execution of maintenance service activitiesEstablishes systems, policies and procedures for maintenance services including management reports; develops metrics and KPIs, monitors and trends results, and takes actions to correct, prevent and/or improve execution and future performanceDevelops and continues evaluation of process, technology, and labor strategies for maintenance serviceIdentifies and implements service deflection strategies to continually lower service costs, while improving fleet performanceProposes and develops operating budgets, and is responsible for all operating costsLeads and develops field service management, focusing on business growth, succession planning, and achieving established metricsEnsures effective and compliant operations in accordance with OSHA regulations, environmental regulations and local requirements; acquires and maintains permits and certifications as necessaryCoordinates materials, inventory, fleet vehicles, technicians, and maintenance requirements, achieving service-level targets for system repairs and installsMeasures maintenance service activities and prepares reports including analytics and insights into actual and expected performance, and identifies issues and opportunitiesDevelops and manages the service order completion strategy to reduce costs, reduce service visits, reduce time to closure, increase revenue and increase customer satisfactionImproves customer satisfaction of field services, measured by customer surveysCommunicates opportunities and recommendations for modification or improvements to processes that optimize efficiency of company assetsReports toSr VP, Service Energy and OperationsMinimum RequirementsBachelor''s Degree; preferably Business Administration, Engineering or Supply Chain Management20+years'' experience maintenance operrations. 12+ years'' experience managing field service teams in a relatable position. 7-8 years senior manager experience with multiple reports.10+ years of public company experience to include the energy market.Strong knowledge of home construction or residential electric Preferred QualificationsAdvance knowledge of Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, and OutlookKnowledge and capability using tools, processes, and best practices that support favorable forecasts, driving business decisions and business planningAdditional Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesVery strong communication skills (verbal and written), organized and attentive to detailEffectively prepare and summarize results into an executive summaryEffectively and accurately transmit, receive, and interpret dataEagerness to take ownership of responsibilitiesProven to work well under pressure, can organize, manage, and prioritize multiple deliverablesAptitude to effectively communicate with peers, senior management, and partnersTeam player that behaves ethically, always maintaining the highest degree of integrityHighly positive energy, self-motivated, and embodies a can-do attitudeWorking conditionsOpen office environmentPhysical RequirementsExtended periods of time working at a computer workstationBenefitsSunnova offers a generous employee reward package that includes:Comprehensive benefitsCompetitive compensation & annual bonusPaid time off, including 10 holidays and Paid Parental LeaveCell phone allowance for many rolesFree access to onsite fitness center in Houston and/or discounted fitness memberships through health providerComplimentary garage parking in HoustonWe are an equal employment opportunity employer.
