SUMMARY OF POSITION : Position is responsible for color matching for all of the Aerospace product lines. Requires ability to match RAL, Fed Standards, Boeing Standards, and Airline Standards to meet individual customer requests under the guidance of the color development manager. Also provides assistance to manufacturing and color matching by our distribution network. Directly impacts annual sales $11 - $17 million business unit. Essential Functions Assist in production batches for custom color orders, including blending, mixing, matching, filling and labeling batches as needed. Make adjustments as necessary (with guidance) to meet customer requirements. Spray standards for file retention. Spray final panels for customer approval. Maintain equipment in lab to maintain integrity of color. Housekeeping in lab to meet cleanliness and safety standards, including hazardous waste removal of materials and product. Identify equipment problems and make recommendations. Take immediate action to contain spillage using hazardous material containment procedures.
