Senior Front End Developer

Front-End Developer Remote Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a Government Agency clearance. Per Federal Government Sector, must be able to pass federal guidelines for security clearance. ALTA IT Services is looking for a Front-End Developer to work for a large Government Contractor remotely. This is a great opportunity to bring your experience to the table while also learning new skills. As a Front-End Developer, you will work in an agile environment to create new applications and improve existing ones utilizing Java (Spring) and modern JavaScript frameworks (React/Node/Angular 2+). While your specialty is front-end development and you''re comfortable teaming with designers and product owners, you are capable of back-end development if necessary. You can work with other engineers, product managers, designers, and customers to deliver working software to clients and their users. Of course, you have a passion for high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code. You''re agile, retrospective, and not afraid to call out and fix what is wrong while suggesting ways to improve what is right. Program Mission... The program provides development, security, and operations (DevSecOps) support, with a focus on development, operations, and modernization of complex, large-scale identity management systems for public-facing websites and IT systems in the cloud. The team utilizes open-source technologies, agile project management practices, and modern DevSecOps delivery within enterprise systems. Requirements: Proficiency in web development using React JS, JavaScript, HTML, CSS Experience developing code, testing, and debugging new software and/or enhancements to existing software Solid understanding of web infrastructure Experience designing, developing, enhancing, debugging and implementing software applications Experience troubleshooting production problems within existing software applications Experience researching, designing, developing, testing, building and coordinating the conversion and/or integration of software products based on client requirements Able to consult with project teams and end-users to identify application requirements Able to address problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms Able to resolve software problems and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements Able to participate in developing software user manuals and technical reports. Must be able to comply with Executive Order No 13991. Desired Skills: Experience in Java/J2EE/Spring, React, Groovy, Oracle/MongoDB, and Web Services Experience in a SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environment Excellent oral/written communication skills, including ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience. Years of Experience: 7+ years'' experience with increasing responsibility 10+ years of development experience. Education: Bachelor''s degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics) or equivalent technical degree; an equivalent combination of education, professional training, and work experience may be considered.
