Eaton''s Electrical Power Reliability division is currently seeking a Tester/Custom Assembler - 3rd Shift to join our team. This position is based at our South Milwaukee, WI facility. The Tester is responsible to perform a variety of test functions. Testing will include basic tests to complicated experimental prototype tests on electronic control systems, as well as mechanical and electrical systems on standard and special products. In this function you will: Perform a variety of test functions at high voltage, including calibration of test equipment, and maintaining records. Troubleshoot operational problems and make repairs; both electrical and mechanical. Assist and instruct other Tester/Assemblers in troubleshooting unit malfunctions, and make adjustments accordingly using judgement to determine sequence, methods, etc. Interact with supervision in maintaining workflow and interact with other departments as needed for advice and decisions. Operate hoist and/or crane. Operate test functions in a Hi-Pot Cage. Follow established working procedures. Be responsible for own work, under minimal supervision and instructions. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned. Meet or exceed quality and quantity standards. Keep work area clean and orderly. Adhere to all environmental, health, safety rules and regulations, and work instructions. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution required. Minimum of one (1) year experience in a manufacturing environment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without out company sponsorship, now or in the future. No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the South Milwaukee, WI facility. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of one (1) year experience working in testing electronic/microprocessor controls. Experience with reading and using schematics for wiring. Experience with reading and using drawings, routings, blue prints, specifications, part numbers, and other shop documents affecting this position. Position Success Criteria: Must be able to meet or exceed quality standards. Must be able to walk/stand for an eight (8) hour shift with or without reasonable accommodation.
