General Laborer 1st shift/DTM

Hours: 1st shift Mon-Thurs 4; 10-hour shifts 5a-3:30p Dress code : Jeans, t-shirt, steel toed shoes, NO jewelry, nothing with holes, rips, tears or with profanity on it or offensive Length of assignment: Evaluation hire depending on job performance, attitude, and attendance Essential Functions of the Job: Assembles small parts coming off the line. Produces hardware kits. Assembles box tops. Repairs products by sanding and touching up scratches. Assists packers/hangers/assemblers as assigned. Reports to lead for additional job responsibilities. Cross trains in all areas. Adheres to 5s and safety requirements. Other duties are required. Essential Job Requirements (Background/Skill/Training): Possesses general factory knowledge. Must have general mathematical skills. Reading and comprehension skills. Capable of operating small tools such as a drill, pop rivet gun, screwdriver, and pallet jack. Able to accurately read a tape measure. Detail oriented. Demonstrated good communication skills. Reads and understands English. Adapts to fast-paced working environment. Able to lift 50 lbs consistently; 75 lbs occasionally. Noise level is moderate to loud. The individual is exposed to extremes in temperature on a regular basis. Employee is always required to wear designated PPE while in the plant. Work may be performed near equipment with moving parts or require use of chemicals.
