Title: Benefits and Leaves Analyst Assignment Type: Temp Hours: 8am-5pm Description: Benefits and Leaves analyst is responsible for management and support of benefits, retirement and leaves program operations, employee inquiries and delivering an exceptional employee experience. This role is part of HR Operations team which provides Tier 2 HR support. Tier 2 team support team resolves appeals, escalations and other complex issues. The analyst is responsible for driving process improvements through data analysis and root cause review. The role requires successful internal and external partnership building and maintenance and ability to leverage technology to measurably improve the employees experience. Key Responsibilities • In this role the analyst will support several types of programs, including: o Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA, FSA, Vitality, MIP (Merit incentive plan), LTI (Long Term Incentive), etc. o Leave of Absence: Short-term disability, Long-term disability, ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act), FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act) o Retirement (excludes 401K): DCAP (Deferred compensation plan), retiree HSA, SRP (Supplemental Retirement Plan) • Develop and maintain process documentation, toolkits and reference materials. • Use judgment to resolve employee inquiries and escalations within defined company policies, culture, laws, programs and practices. • Effectively operate systems, such as Workday, Salesforce, SharePoint, and others to perform day-to-day activities. • Utilize Excel and Salesforce data to complete analysis of employee inquiry trends, root cause issues and key metrics. • Participate and lead process and employee experience centered initiatives and projects. • Develop and maintain effective professional relationships with vendors and internal teams. • Develop statistical trend reports, identify issues requiring attention, present recommendations and support their implementation. Special Requirements or Call outs: (ex: standing for long hours, lifting requirements, etc) • Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience in a Tier 2 or Tier 1 support function for Benefit, retirement or leaves. • Relevant experience or certifications in building SOP (standard operating procedures) involving various stakeholder and systems/integrations. • Any benefit, retirement or leaves certification, is a plus. Critical Skills • Prior experience in the management, documentation (SOP), communication and execution of corporate benefit and/or retirement and/or leaves programs within a large matrix environment. • Understands and acts upon program compliance when resolving employee inquiries and escalations. • Strong customer service skills, thoroughness and follow-up to ensure complete issue resolution. • Ability to build cross-functional partnerships, including interfacing with external vendors. • Experienced user of Office 365 suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint). Skilled in reviewing and preparing data analysis in Excel. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • Prior experience using and leveraging Workday, Salesforce, UPoint, or Fidelity systems is a plus. • Strong verbal and written communication skills Education/Certification Requirements: • Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience in a Tier 2 or Tier 1 support function for Benefit, retirement or leaves. • Relevant experience or certifications in building SOP (standard operating procedures) involving various stakeholder and systems/integrations. • Any benefit, retirement or leaves certification, is a plus.
