Our client, a professional association in Alexandria, VA, is seeking an Events Specialist to join their team!About You:3+ years of events and customer service experience is required.Very strong writing and verbal communications skills.Ability to work in a deadline driven environment.Strong detail orientation, time management, and organizational skills are required.Significant experience with media relations, or similar experienceThe Job:Create and promote association content for placement in industry trade publicationsDevelop relationships and communicate with media through various media platformsConduct outreach to media, and respond to incoming inquiries from trade and national media outletsHandles media-monitoring, prepares coverage reports, and handles all event logisticsOther duties and special projects as assignedThis temporary-to-hire opportunity pays $23/hr-$27/hr, with the potential of converting to a salary of $60K.
