Apply today!Why join us?We keep growing so now is the perfect time to grow your career!Lucrative base and annual bonus!Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, and 401(k)!Plenty of room for growth!Job DetailsThis position is responsible for applying accounting principles, policies, and procedures, analyzing financial information, preparing accounting entries, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing timely and accurate financial analysis, reports, statements, and budgets.RESPONSIBILITIES Supervise the accounting department to ensure the proper functioning of all systems, databases, and financial software Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls, compliance, and financial procedures Experience with consolidating financial statements Experience drafting financial statements with applicable disclosures in accordance with U.S. GAAP Experience with analyzing accounting transactions by researching accounting literature and arriving at an appropriate conclusion Experience preparing and reviewing supporting schedules for quarterly and annual filings with the SEC. Prepare statutory filings Leads the accounting staff during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process and annual financial statements, constantly reviewing procedures while eliminating inefficiencies Review all month-end closing activities including general ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts and overhead cost allocation. Preparation of monthly P&L and balance sheet. Maintains and review the organization''s financial records Remain current on audit best practices as well as state, federal, and local laws regarding company operations. Responds to internal/external audit requests and supports external tax and audit professionals. Manage cash flow planning process and ensure funds availability Supervise accounts receivable management and provide guidance related to the collection process Oversees the calculation of commissions for various departments including internal and external sales reps. Trains and develops the accounting staff Documents and coordinates new procedures Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations Other duties/projects as assigned REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 8-10+ years of experience, with 4-6+ years in a management position overseeing the accounting staff 1-2+ years of public accounting experience High emotional intelligence - solves problems, coaches others, and takes decisive action to rectify issues. Relentless and enthusiastic pursuit of improvement driven from a well-founded strategic vision. Hands-on and effective change agent. Detail-oriented execution of quality control responsibilities for financial statements, forecasts, budgets, and cash flows. Excellent communicator, strong verbal, and written communication skills Experience working with multiple reporting entities Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP''s, pivot tables, etc.) Candidates should possess knowledge of all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) Strong interpersonal, supervisory, and customer service skills required Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required Working knowledge of ERP systems (NetSuite is a plus)REQUIRED CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor''s Degree required (Accounting preferred) Minimum of 5 years in a managerial role Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience with a mix of public and private accounting.
