Key Responsibilities - Essential Functions Maintains a thorough working knowledge of and adheres to organization policies and procedures. Develops, recommends, and documents written policies, standards, procedures, and metrics in support of the organizations goals. Interprets and analyzes financial and statistical data. Makes recommendations to improve internal control. Responsible for monitoring all general ledger activity and maintaining documentation of account balances. Responsible for banking activities. M akes certain that the fixed assets of the organization are properly accounted for. Responsible for preparation of the monthly and annual SOAR reports. Processes payroll, manual checks, and works closely with human resources personnel on payroll policies and procedures. Responsible for the preparation of monthly reports for Board and Management analysis. Plans, coordinates, and directs the activities of assigned staff. Reviews performance of assigned staff and takes corrective action where warranted. Prepares surveys, census reports, business property statements, state sales task returns, and the like. Assists with the conduct of the annual independent, biannual DDS, and vendor audits on an ongoing basis. Keeps CFO well-informed of activities, results of efforts, and problems identified. Respects confidentiality in discussing consumer, staff, volunteers and fiscal matters. Becomes thoroughly knowledgeable, interprets and implements regulations and guidelines of federal and state governments as they relate to the regional center fiscal operations. Actively participates in management meetings and routinely conducts meetings.
