Easy Apply now by clicking the ''Apply Now'' button and sending us your resume.Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 per yearA bit about us:Well regarded defense company is looking for skilled Principal Quality EngineersWhy join us?Culture, benefits, medical insurance, dental insurance, vision, pretax spending accounts, flexible spending accounts, LTD, PTO, Work Life Balance, Life InsuranceJob DetailsLeads quality operations for assigned program and provides technical direction for the Quality department as neededDevelops PQR (Program Quality Requirements) for assigned development and production programs based on TDP (Technical Data Package) and customer contractual requirementsCoordinates the disposition of nonconformances, root cause determination and completion of corrective and preventive actionsLeads the MRB (Material Review Board) and participates in CCB (Change Control Board) activitiesReviews manufacturing work instructions and identifies appropriate inspection points to mitigate quality risks and to demonstrate compliance to the TDP (Technical Data Package)Provides quality support of acceptance, design verification and Electronic Stress Screening (ESS) testingPrepares ADPs (Acceptance Data Packages) in support of deliverable hardwareDevelops First Article Plans and coordinates execution of FAI plans through completionPrepares and organizes data in support of supplier/customer deliverable requirements (SDRL''s/CDRL''s)Utilizes program quality metrics and trend analysis to identify opportunities for improvement, eliminate defects, reduce CoPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) and improve overall product qualityProvides Quality Technician inspection guidance and mentoringCoordinates with Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure all applicable technical and contractual requirements are included on supplier Purchase OrdersCoordinates the RMA (Return Material Authorization) processCommunicates with customers and suppliers on complex program quality issuesSupports Supplier Quality Engineering with source inspection, supplier selection/evaluation, First Article Inspections, failure analysis investigations, CAR (Corrective Action Requests) and requisition approvalsPrepares inspection plans, test procedures, work instructions, waivers, deviations and other technical reports or documentationCreates and revises QMS (Quality Management System) proceduresCoordinates and leads program and Site QMS Health and Process CABs (Corrective Action Boards)Leads the QMS (Quality Management System) audit process, provides auditor training, coordinates any necessary corrective actions and reports status to senior managementProficient in configuration management principles and is capable of authoring and approving change request documentsCollects data, performs analysis and utilizes SPC (Statistical Process Control) principles to evaluate processes continuous improvements and inspection optimizationDevelops process control plansReviews Purchase and applies the appropriate quality requirements to ensure purchased hardware complies with engineering requirementsGenerates Receiving Inspection Plans to verify hardware compliance to drawing requirements on procured hardwareCoordinates Hardware Acceptance Reviews in support of deliverable hardwareSupports Quality Manager on special projects as necessaryLeads the software evaluation, validation and qualification process for the Quality organizationGenerates BOEs (Basis of Estimates) for the bid and proposal processPrimary quality interface for major customer reviews such as PDR (Preliminary Design Review), CDR (Critical Design Review), PPV (Production Process Validation), SAS (Supplier Assessment Surveys), PPR (Production Readiness Review), MRA (Manufacturing Readiness Assessment), PCA (Physical Configuration Audit) and FCA (Functional Configuration Audit)Evaluates emerging technology for application and implementation in the quality environmentProvides leadership and guidance to Quality EngineersOther duties as assignedInterested in hearing more?
