Lead coordinator for the Commercial Insurance Policy Program for the City and assigned service groups. Research, produce information and interpret results to recommend solutions that address insurance issues of medium to high complexity and sensitivity, as assigned by supervisor. Evaluate risk, identify and recommend appropriate alternatives for risk control. Develop commercial insurance requirements, specifications, spreadsheets and summaries for insurance solicitation. Review, analyze and make recommendations to reduce risk in City contracts and ordinances. Responsible for communication with department personnel, outside agencies and the City''s Insurance Broker of Record, regarding insurance matters. Prepare executive reports and summaries. Participate in development of management and administrative policies, procedures, goals and objectives. Able to provide leadership and follow through in all areas of responsibility. WORKING CONDITIONSThis position is physically comfortable; the individual has discretion about walking, standing, etc. There are no major sources of discomfort in a normal office environment.
