Applications accepted from: All Persons InterestedDEPARTMENT: Human ResourcesDIVISION: Financial & Accounting ManagementReporting Location: 611 Walker *Subject to change*Workdays & Hours: M-F, 8am - 5pm* *subject to changeDESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONThe Financial & Accounting Management division in the Human Resources Department is responsible for the financial and operations of the self-insured health benefits, long term disability and workers'' compensation programs. The selected candidate will perform a variety of professional financial/accounting/administrative tasks along with traditional human resources functions in any of the programs mentioned above.The Financial Analyst IV includes but is not limited to: Perform project budgeting, forecasting and long-range financial planning, variance analysis and reporting, interpretation of quantitative information, financial modeling and assist in the creation of presentations for upper management review.Work with internal and external business partners to understand the various business needs and drivers and report them in a clear and concise manner.Identify process improvement opportunities and make strong recommendations for management''s consideration by planning and performing walkthroughs and testing procedures around business process and internal controls to satisfy all relevant compliance requirements.Provide ad-hoc financial analysis that are sound and validated in order to support business decisions. Develop and train on financial models using data from financial systems and other sources to support the execution of strategic and tactical initiatives.Assemble spreadsheets and draw charts and graphs used to illustrate meaningful technical data. Work with management to compile various performance measurement reports to validate business decisions and to assist in implementing corrective actions for new or old programs.Reconciles and maintains financial chargeback models.Develops monitors, analyzes and updates various reports, records, projects and plans.Demonstrated customer service skills; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, internal and external stakeholders.Perform other duties as requested by division or department head.WORKING CONDITIONSThis position is physically comfortable; the individual has some discretion about walking, standing, etc.
