Heavy Machinery Diesel Mechanic

Adecco Search is currently recruiting qualified candidates for a few direct hire Diesel Mechanic Jobs in Newark, NJ near the Newark Airport. We are seeking experienced diesel mechanics with five or more years of experience working on a variety of diesel engines. Class A Diesel Mechanics can earn top pay rates and overtime. Candidates should also have experience working in brakes, hydraulics, computerized systems including ignition systems, and general repairs. This position requires flexibility and ability to work overtime during prime season (winter). Our client offers a competitive salary and benefits package. Responsibilities for the Diesel Mechanic Job in Newark, NJ include: Service and maintain all types of engines. Diagnose and perform repairs on all types of trucks & heavy equipment with limited supervision. Repair brakes, hydraulic and computerized induction/ignition systems Perform inspections and preventive maintenance of vehicles and equipment. Use of power and hand tools. Inspect and maintain equipment used in operations. Qualifications: Minimum 5 years'' experience working in Diesel engines. Must have a driver license, CDL preferred. Must have your own tools Excellent customer service skills and communication skills Willing to work in non-climate-controlled conditions and overtime as needed, including seasonally.
