Software Development Engineer in Test

JOB SUMMARY Responsible for coding automation test cases based on functional specifications and executing automated test scripts to ensure the system release functions as expected. Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and automation strategies to support multiple product validation processes. Coordinate and collaborate with Design, Architecture, Development, and Operations to ensure optimal customer experience. Responsible for implementing and supporting router firmware automated testing REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience with robot test automation framework Scripting experience with Python Experience with Raspberry Pi is a plus Knowledgeable in CICD Skills/Abilities and Knowledge Ability to read, write and speak the English language to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straight-forward, and professional manner Self-starter, self-motivated, driven individual Ability to adapt with shifting priorities Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) Proficient using JIRA for work management and reporting Experience with Test Rails is a plus Creative solving of technical problems to ensure the ability to translate technical requirements into test plans Ability to track multiple test efforts simultaneously and to be able to synthesize the results in fast paced environment Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure Ability to prioritize and organize effectively Ability to provide coaching and counseling when necessary Ability to supervise and motivate others Strong leadership skills with proven ability to provide effective, results oriented direction Ability to use personal computer and software applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheet, etc.) Knowledge of company products and services Education BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience Testing Certification ISTQB Advanced Level preferred Related Work Experience Number of Years Engineering experience 5+ Python Coding Experience 3+ Automation experience 5+ Software Testing experience 5+ WORKING CONDITIONS Office environment Exposure to moderate noise levels
