About Our Client:Springs Rescue Mission provides critically needed food, shelter, clothing, and services to those in the community experiencing homelessness, poverty, and addiction.To learn more, click here: What You''ll Do: HR Programs & Strategy 20% Lead in the development and review of compensation, benefits, or other HR programs; communicate recommendations to leadership, Directors, Manager, and Supervisors Provide guidance and knowledge regarding HR offerings including benefits, compensation, employee engagement, and learning and development Manages in coordination with the VP of Shared Services, the SRM insurance policies for General Liability, Employment Professional Liability In Lead in the development and formulation of HR policies and procedures, collaborating with Executive Team as appropriate; responsible for implementation and communication insurance, Workers Compensation, Professional Liability policies, Volunteer Insurance Policies, and all other business insurance policies Lead in the development and formulation of HR policies and procedures, collaborating with Executive Team as appropriate; responsible for implementation and communication Prepare, maintain, and revise employee handbook and policies and procedures in collaboration with SRM leadership Communicate, educate, and monitor various HR policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations to SRM management and staff Prepare reports as required to ensure compliance and best practices. Remain current and keep informed of changes to state and federal laws pertaining to benefits and HR, and communicate such, and make recommendations regarding options to Executive Team Establish and maintain personnel files in compliance with applicable laws, department records and reports Direct and manage all HR related vendor/consulting relationships Participate in the development of the organization''s plans and programs as a strategic partner, but particularly from the perspective of the impact on people Translate the strategic and tactical business plans into HR strategic and operational plans Continuously improve the programs, policies, practices, and processes associated with meeting the strategic and operational needs of the organization Shape the strategy and execution of company-wide communications to ensure transparency Employee Relations & Culture 30% Respond to employee relations issues such as employee inquiries, complaints, harassment/discrimination allegations, and unjust practice allegations and take appropriate course of action toward resolution Conduct Exit Interviews, analyze data and make recommendations to leadership for corrective action and continuous improvement Create and sustain a thriving performance driven culture that brings out the best in each employee and sets the highest expectations Establish credibility throughout the organization to be an effective listener and problem solver of people issues Maintain knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources, and talent management Build best-in-class people programs in recruiting, onboarding, and learning & development Support the continuous evolution of our values, operating principles, and implement various programs and tools to ensure they permeate our organization from hiring, through performance management, to talent development and operational decisions Training & Development 20% Facilitate and/or conduct training for workforce to facilitate legal compliance and organizational alignment Lead and prepare Staff Development options for SRM staff, providing options and guidance as applicable Support proper training and recognition of volunteers for their partnership with Springs Rescue Mission and engages them in meaningful work that leverages volunteers as a resource Develop programs to allow the organization to embrace applicants and employees of all backgrounds and to permit the full development and performance of all employees Organizational Design & Development 15% Direct and facilitate Performance Review Process Prepare performance review forms and direct the distribution of the forms to supervisory personnel Recommend changes/improvements to performance review and process Develop and implement solutions to meet the current and future needs of SRM Compensation & Benefits 15% Administer all SRM benefit programs Evaluate and compare existing SRM benefits Plan, develop, and/or participate in industry surveys. Analyze results of surveys and develop specific recommendations for review by leadership Liaise with vendors, obtain bids upon renewal, confer with VP of Shared Services regarding benefit costs, make recommendations regarding options, and implement according to decisions of Executive Team Direct the open enrollment and benefit renewal process, in partnership with benefit consultant Conduct employee meetings and arrange for enrollment of employees in optional plans. Conduct employee benefit seminars for personnel. Handle benefit inquiries and concerns to ensure quick, equitable and courteous resolution Maintain contact with insurance vendors, employees/beneficiaries to facilitate proper and complete utilization of benefits for all employees Instruct insurance carriers, trustees, and other administrative agencies outside SRM to effect changes in benefit program. Facilitate and ensure prompt and accurate ACA compliance Resolve claims, report changes in employee information, and communicate benefit information/changes to employees Provide oversight and administration related to 403b program, including but not limited to employee notification, enrollment, matching eligibility, and initiation, and make recommendations regarding options to Executive Team Coordinate insurance enrollments and communicate with service providers concerning routine administration of programs Monitor workers compensation claims and coordinate work between employee and insurance carrier; make recommendations regarding options to VP of Shared Services Gather information related to wage and salary and the construction of compensation ranges Represent SRM for unemployment claims, directly managing the claims process Talent Acquisition | Oversight Lead and manage SRM''s recruitment, employee on-boarding experience, training, and staff development Ensure job descriptions and advertisements reflect the mission and work of SRM and compliant with laws Oversee the applicant engagement process is current and reflects cultural ideals of SRM; screening, interviews and professional reference process is compliant with HR policies Manage the employment offer stage and all related paperwork and materials Provide oversight to New Employee Orientation and related on-boarding activities, collection of information, and establishment of records Lead in the classification and reclassification of positions; ensuring that all job descriptions are written/current with role responsibilities What You''ll Need: Bachelor''s Degree, 8+ years of progressive HR experience; SHRM-SCP, SPHR or PHR highly preferred. Proficient in all HR disciplines including benefit administration, FMLA, compensation, employee relations, worker''s compensation, unemployment, performance management, business insurance, and talent management Ability to objectively coach or to secure coaching for employees and management through complex issues Skilled in research and ability to compile data, perform analysis as appropriate, and present or propose accordingly Advanced communication, presentation, and public speaking skills; verbal and written Proven track record in HR best practices and employment regulations Technically proficient; Microsoft Suite, HRIS/HRMS Platforms, Cloud-based software, and payroll systems Resilient business acumen, strategic planning, organizational assessment, highly developed leadership and interpersonal skills, and quantitative analytical abilities Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills Aptitude to perform at both the strategic and hands-on level; results driven, service oriented, self-motivated with ability to work collaboratively and independent High level of integrity, trust, and confidentiality The compensation range for this position is $99,000 plus, with potential relocation allowance.
