As the Quality Auditor, you will be responsible for assisting the supervisor in efficient daily operations of the Quality Audit department, including overseeing other employees in the absence of the supervisor. You will also perform internal audits of the manufacturing process and supporting departments, as well as verify the implementation of ISO policies and procedures described in the documented quality system. On our team, you''ll have the support to excel at work and the resources to build a career you can be proud of.Pay, benefits and more.We are eager to attract the best, so we offer competitive compensation and a generous benefits package, including full health insurance (medical, dental and vision), 401(k), life insurance, disability and more.What you''ll do on a typical day:Inspect finished products, products being processed, incoming materials, parts and assemblies; review batch records and test products for conformance to company standardsPerform random in-process auditing to verify accuracy of product and/or processAssist supervisors with follow-up on quality-related problems, department quality improvements and scheduling; recommend solutions and ensure corrective action is taken on failed lotsDocument audit findings and records in quality database system; run reports for various audiencesTrain and interpret process procedures/work instructions/quality bulletins with departments being audited; provide input on changes and/or updates to work instructions/procedures Perform daily preparations for shift start-up; maintain supplies for auditors and provide assistance/backup to coworkers within the departmentParticipate in special projects such as auditing, training and/or inspecting, and report to management on findings; participate in yearly inventory, preparation and counting Follow company policies and procedures, enforce safety regulations and ensure proper procedures are followed by all coworkers; maintain a neat, clean and organized appearance and work area What you need to succeed at GXO:At a minimum, you''ll need:2 years of experience related to qualityIt''d be great if you also have:High school diploma or equivalentEffective communication and presentation skills with the ability to share information in one-on-one, as well as small and large group situations Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situationsAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; ability to interpret graphsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with ability to perform research on the internet and in company systems; able to function as a process expert within the specific departmentAbility to conduct ESN searches in WMPlus for transactions and receipt data, and to extract data from WMPlus for reports and to construct pivot tables Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos; ability to write simple correspondenceWe engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.
