What you''ll do on a typical day:Work within revenue management and commercial groups to creatively solve business problems by understanding business processes and applied economics to identify and implement solutions that will drive revenue performanceDefines and solves complex problems through quantitative analysis and analytical models, using operations research, statistics, predictive modeling, machine learning, and forecasting techniquesBuilds mathematical models, develops applications, and provides support to the business. Utilize statistical techniques including clustering, regression, and time series analysis to improve forecasting systemsFormulates hypotheses and design tests to support business. Leverages statistics to evaluate tests that will drive positive revenue decisionsAble to structure and deliver professional presentations and communications around complex topics targeted to varied audiencesPartners with Information Technology to implement prototype solutions and improve systemsCollect, pull, and push data to back-end storage using coding languages and data analysis technologiesWhat you need to succeed at XPO:At a minimum, you''ll need:Bachelor''s degree or equivalent related work or military experience4 years of industry experience developing predictive and prescriptive science modelsDeep knowledge of Econometrics, Pricing, Statistics and Probability Theory Experience with advanced machine learning and cloud-based computingAdvanced programming and data mining skillsProficiency with SQLIt''d be great if you also have:Advanced degree in Economics, Mathematics or Statistics3 years of professional experience in quantitative analysis in the transportation fieldExperience leading projects and interfacing with business teamsAbility to collaborate with cross functional teamsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsBe part of something big.XPO is a leading provider of world-class solutions to the most successful companies in the world.
