Payroll/HRIS National Convenience Distributors serves customers in the Northeastern United States as the 4 th largest full-line convenience store distributor. J Polep Distribution Services, a division of NCD would like you to join our dedicated team as a Payroll/HRIS specialist. Our team has been servicing the New England area and beyond for over 120 years. This position is in Chicopee, MA and reports to the Director of HR and is part of supportive & energetic HR team. Responsibilities are for payroll are shared amongst the collaborative team but there is opportunity to capitalize on and grow based on individual strengths and areas of expertise particularly in the area of benefits and HRIS reporting. In addition to processing a weekly payroll, reporting using our payroll and HRIS system, Paycom, will be required. Because this is a collaborative team environment general HR knowledge is helpful as well as previous experience with report writing to help develop and initiate HR & labor cost reporting. Responsibilities & Duties Confirms accuracy of timecard changes, wage changes, garnishments to process weekly payroll Troubleshoots payroll errors related to the payroll process and work to resolve Process same day checks when needed Provides payroll & general HR support to fellow employees Initiate payroll & HR data reports to support management needs Administers reporting and data extracts to Excel, prepares data to report/present to management Understands HR business & payroll practices to maintain HRIS system to ensure accuracy of data Ensures ongoing data integrity through conducting regular audits/maintenance and implements root cause fixes for issues that are identified Minimum Requirements 2-3 years'' experience with payroll, benefits, HR, HRIS system including payroll processing and report writing, preferably with a multi-state company with more than 500 employees Proficiency with Microsoft office suite required Experience with Paycom platform preferred Must be able to maintain confidentiality of employee data Must have a high level of auditing, reconciliation & organizational skills Proficiency with report writing utilizing payroll, benefits, time and attendance system J Polep/NCD prides itself in providing a supportive yet challenging place to work and offers growth potential for its employees.
