As an Environmental Field Technician, you will be gaining valuable field experience while collecting specialized data from municipal water/wastewater systems which is used to help improve these systems. This is an entry-level opportunity and is great for graduates of environmental science, geology, geography and civil engineering programs whom are interested in gaining valuable field experience in a growing market sector.Responsibility Summary - Environmental Field Technician:Installation of flow monitoring systems within sewer stallation of rainfall monitoring put data into software systems which may include geographic information system software (GIS).Inspect sewer manholes manually or with telemonitoring equipment.Operate and maintain instruments and equipment.Accurately document inspections in a timely manner with detailed field notes.Adhere to all the safety requirements of the position while assisting team members to do the same.All other duties as assigned.Qualification Summary -Environmental Field Technician:High school diploma (AS or BS degrees in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology or a related degree program preferred)Valid driver''s license and clean driving record with the ability to operate a company vehicleAbility to detect, resolve and report equipment issues (strong electrical and mechanical aptitude preferred)Strong computer literacy with the ability to effectively utilize commonly used computer software programs (experience with GIS strongly preferred)Ability to perform all of the physical requirements of positionPreferred experience/knowledge with field data collectionWillingness and ability to travel as neededPhysical Demands:Standing and walking for long hoursUse hands and fingers to control, handle and feel objectsSee details of objects from a distanceLift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds when necessaryWork outside year-round in all conditions presentClimb stairs and walk on uneven terrainSquat and crawlIND1
