Responsibilities Job Summary:The ideal candidate is responsible for safety, quality, shift production, monitoring on-shift training, maintenance coordination, & environmental compliance for the pulp and power/recovery area. This is a supervisory role with responsibilities for organized/unionized hourly employees per shift. This position reports to Mill Operations Manager.A team player with a positive attitude that will continuously pursue strategies to ensure safety and quality and build rapport with the operating crews. The desire to teach, coach, mentor and promote the success of a dynamic, goal oriented and fast paced environment. Key Responsibilities:Works closely with backshift maintenance to prioritize work.Strong organizational skills; the ability to prioritize, maintain attention to detail and recognize time constraintsExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong supervisory and leadership skills.Thorough understanding of operations policies and practices.Evaluate risk and lead quality assurance efforts at a mill levelMentor and motivate teams to achieve productivity and engagementPerforms other duties as assigned.
