Contribute to the design and development of software across Android and iOS mobile applications under a disciplined product development process that meets Abbott quality and appropriate regulatory agency requirements. WHAT YOU''LL DOWork on software design, coding, and unit testing software, supporting verification and validation testing, and ensuring that all product development conforms to design specifications and coding standards for medical devices.Exercise judgment in coding following the software requirements, designs and conducting investigation activities following defined methods.Design and implement software in current programming languages such as C and Java. Demonstrate good understanding of object-oriented programming and put object-oriented programming principles in practice.Assist in the preparation of software design requirements and detailed design specifications for implementation of software designs per Abbott design development process.Assist in the evaluation of selected designs through testing and full documentation of the results.Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate plies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU''LL BRINGRequiredBachelor''s degree in an Engineering discipline, Computer Science, or related engineering field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.Minimum 6 months in software development (combination of programming-heavy coursework, school projects, freelance work and professional experience).WHAT WE OFFER At Abbott, you can have a good job that can grow into a great career.
