Job DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY:The Quality Supervisor will be responsible for developing and implementing optimal, cost-effective quality processes, systems and technologies that have a positive impact on manufacturing processes. Assure the methods used are in accordance with product specifications, manufacturing parameters and quality standards. Will collaborate with manufacturing & product engineering to recommend and implement improvements to production processes, methods and controls; coordinates within cross functional teams (Production, Manufacturing & Product Engineers, Maintenance, Materials) launch for new or revised products or processes. The Quality Supervisor will also be responsible for leading, mentoring, and developing the auditors/inspectors as well as overseeing their daily work objectives, scheduling, and performance reviews.PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Takes a hands-on approach and leader role while working within a collaborative cross-functional team to address process / manufacturing quality issues with the use of systematic quality improvement and problem-solving tools which include the use of the Quality Core Tool Box (i.e. PDCA, CAPA- A3,8d, 5why, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, Six Sigma etc.)Collaborates with Manufacturing Engineering and Product Design Engineering to define the acceptance criteria for the validation of new equipment, processes, inspection/measurement methods.Responsible for the deployment and execution of systems for data collection, analysis and reporting of First Pass Yield, Scrap and or other related KPIs as established in the Plant Operation''s Daily Management system.Responsible for the management of test records/ results/ documentations to comply with process control plans, CSA, ISO standards and document control terfaces with suppliers on quality issues during launch, production and performing periodic audits/reviewsSupports cross-functional teams with process improvements via project ownership, collaboration, or Kaizen events participation.Support the company''s Quality, Enviro, Health & Safety systems, processes, and procedures.Work with the cross functional teams to develop, document and sustain control plans, PFMEAs, standard work, SOP''s, policies and business procedures. Execute Document control. Provides training/coaching to the manufacturing organization regarding Quality tools, concepts, inspection methods, acceptance criteria or other procedural changes and or improvements.Provide leadership / guidance to QC inspectors Able to travel up to 10-25%Performs other related duties as needed and assigned by managerMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Associate Degree and or equivalent experienceMinimum 5 years'' experience in a Quality Technical role in a manufacturing environmentExperience with ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485, ISO 14001 or other regulated manufacturing environmentsMinimum 3 years of proven experience as Quality Supervisor role or similar role with a record of achieving results through leading peopleWorking knowledge of PPAP, Control Plans, SPC, APQP, DOE, Gauge R&R, Sampling Plans (AQL) and other quality core and statistical toolsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Green/Black Belt certification in Lean Six SigmaQuality Core tools, (MSA, PPAP,FMEA, Controls Plan, SPC)Metallurgy, Manufacturing, Stampings and/or Heat Treat experienceISO 9001, 14001 experience and/or ASQ CertificationAutomotive, Aerospace and/or medical industries experience a plusBilingual (English / Spanish)SPC, Minitab/JMP Statistical software experienceCOMPETENCIES:Work effectively at all levels of the organization with a hands-on mentalityAbility to think analytically, creatively, and independently with excellent problem-solving skillsIntermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, advanced level MS Excel userExcellent interpersonal and communication skills; and demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships, while working collaboratively within multi-functional business teamsDemonstrated successful ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely deadlines Implementing sustainable process improvements, seeking out and implementing internal or external best practicesExcellent interpersonal and communication skills; and demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships, while working collaboratively with cross-functional business teamsDemonstrated successful ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely deadlinesAbility to function at a high level of effectiveness, flexibility, independence and initiative with minimal daily interaction with managementProficient computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent problem solving and analysis skillsEffective communicator and collaborator, leads by exampleAbility to lead and manage work teamsABOUT USBrasscraft Manufacturing Company is a leading manufacturer and distributor of high-quality water and gas flow control products, plumbing service and repair parts, and drain cleaning and plumbing hand tools for the new construction and repair/remodel markets.
