Lean Manufacturing Manager

Our client in the Consumer Goods industry is currently seeking a Lean Manufacturing Manager.The Lean Manufacturing Manager will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of production and operating team members. Organizing, planning, the set up and maintains production lines. Also troubleshooting problems during fabrication, test, and assembly operations.Duration: Direct Hire, Permanent positionSalary: Open, Pending ExperienceLocation: Long Beach, CA (onsite)Responsibilities:Studies and records time, motion, method, and speeds involved in performance of production, maintenance, clerical, and other worker operations to establish standard production rates and improve efficiency.Oversees training of production employees for manufacturing operating procedures.Reviews engineering designs for manufacturing feasibility and recommends design changes that will enhance production and eliminate variation.Improves and streamlines processes by eliminating waste utilizing value engineering, cost saving ideas and root cause analysis of non-conformance.Qualifications:Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Business AdministrationAt least 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong verbal and written communication skillsEmployee supervision experience preferredExperience with analytical and reporting tools (MS Excel, etc.) is strongly desired.
