Physician Assistant- Ophthalmology- Full Time 40 hours

SUMMARY Our Pediatric Ophthalmology division is a growing, busy practice, and we are investing in innovative equipment, bringing in new clinicians and leaders, and planning for new office space. This is an opportunity to join a growing, developing, innovative practice. The Ophthalmology Physician Assistant, a newly-created position, will care for our pediatric ophthalmology patient in clinic and hospital settings, including the following responsibilities: * Assist in the operating room * Participate in the consult service as needed * Assist with Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) consults at Connecticut Children''s Medical Center and other area hospitals * Assist with the coordination of the ROP program with area hospitals * Triage referrals and urgent appointment requests and provide guidance to technicians for scheduling * See patients in clinic * May prescribe glasses Connecticut Children''s is on a journey to enhance diversity, equity and inclusion in our workplace.
