As a Lead HR Project Manager, PMO, you will provide support on projects, work streams, and governance routines focused on HR transformation, operational enhancements, and strategic improvements. The incumbent will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure project work is completed in a timely and cost-effective manner. What you''ll do on a typical day:Manage an HR program portfolio (HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, etc.). Responsible for the portfolio''s budget and overall project program healthCoordinate and collaborate with HR team members across multiple locations globally to plan and execute initiatives and projects of all sizes, often managing multiple projects at a timeGather and compile information regarding scope, timeline, tasks and dependencies and develop detailed project plans (e.g., using MS Project, Excel or other project planning software)Ensure decisions, open items, risks, options and recommendations are documentedSupport and facilitate meetings and written program / project updates with key internal project team members, business stakeholders and leadership through creation of e-mails, decks, and status slidesPrepare project / work stream meeting agendas, document meeting outcomes and next steps. Ensure next steps are actioned, following up with key stakeholders, as neededIdentify risks/issues that impact the execution and success of projects (e.g., resource availability, functional discrepancies, testing errors, etc.). Develop options and solutions for complex problems, and escalate as appropriate for resolution/mitigationCoordinate Project Management Office (PMO) governance routines such as tracking and updating project progress and continuous improvement activities, scheduling meetings, sending reminders, and updating / compiling data and informationCreate PMO methodologies and approachesConduct analysis on business topics, project data / statistics and progress, systems'' impacts and other key challenges, as neededUtilize tools, such as Excel, to develop spreadsheets, gather and update data from stakeholders, utilize data filters, create pivot tables, format and analyze large amounts of dataSupport key HR team members on various engagements, including ad-hoc analyses, presentations, governance routines, and special projects. Influences and acts as a trusted advisor to project stakeholders, including Senior Management, HR functional areas, IT, Finance, Payroll, Legal and outside third-party vendorsAdvise on stakeholder analysis, change management plans and executionPerform various administrative tasks as needed, including logistics for meetings and workshops, room bookings, catering, and visitor registrationsWhat you need to succeed at XPO:At a minimum, you''ll need:Bachelor''s degree or equivalent related work or military experience4 years in managing projects and / or in HR/HRITStrong MS Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skillsIt''d be great if you also have: PMP, and/or HR certification Previous consulting experienceStrong communication and presentation skillsKnowledge of the HR suite including Core HR systems, Compensation and Benefits, Talent Acquisition, etc. tools and technologySelf-starter who is highly motivated and organized; able to track multiple tasks, activities, follow-ups and deadlines accurately and autonomouslyStrong results orientationBe part of something big.XPO is a leading provider of world-class solutions to the most successful companies in the world.
