Works directly with clients and applies IT, business knowledge and experience to determine root causes of any issues encountered by the manufacturing business teams while utilizing the MES software to manufacture product. Perform configuration of the FTPC MES software based on business requirements that are routed through the PLM (product lifecycle management) systems of WindChill. WHAT YOU''LL DO Perform configuration and maintenance of the MES software based on business requirementsProvide level 1 MES system support to local manufacturing business teamsExperience with MES software functionality to determine root cause of issues encountered by the business when using the MES softwarePerforms business process analysis to define configuration requirementsSimulates or recreates user problems to resolve operating difficultiesAbility to coordinate medium size projects as a Business Systems Analyst resourceAbility to perform end to end-user training in a 1on1 or class type setting as neededProvides support to existing applications and resolves business and technical problemCommunicates effectively with management to enhance their understanding of the opportunities and limitations of information systemsEnsure compliance with all Abbott procedures including all applicable regulatory agency requirementsPerforms other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assignedExperience with MES software functionality and capabilities to provide consultation to business and other IT groups when looking to enhance system capabilitiesExperience with MES Interfaces and capabilities to provide consultation to business and other IT groups when looking to enhance system capabilitiesKnowledge of SDVLC methodologySDLVC or Software Validation experienceManufacturing experience within a government regulated facilityAdvanced computer knowledge and experienceExcellent communication and customer service skills. Able to bridge communication between technical areas and business areas for a full and complete understanding of expectationsAbility to multi-task efficiently on several simultaneous effortsExperience in training material creation and delivery, using a variety of training methodsExperience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred.Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.Ability to work remotely as well as in an Abbott FacilityAbility to travel approximately 10%, including internationally.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU''LL BRINGRequired• Bachelor''s degree in a technical discipline or 2 to 4 equivalent years of experience• 2 to-4 years of manufacturing / shop floor knowledge / experience2 to 4 years of experience with FTPC and/or PROMIS MES softwareWHAT WE OFFER At Abbott, you can have a good job that can grow into a great career.
