Remote Certified Medical Coder - Entry Level

Title of Job: Remote Entry Level Medical Coder CPC-A Pay: $16-20.50 an hour (overtime will be paid at 1.5 times the normal hourly pay rate). Hours: Full Time - Monday-Friday 8AM-5pm Central (This schedule is slightly flexible after 12 weeks of training) Status: Consultant: Starting off as a consultant/contractor there is always potential for long term / conversion for the right employee upon business needs. Almost all of the positions within this client start off as a contractor due to being a Fortune 100 company. Location: Remote from your house. Must have high speed internet and be able to hard wire in with ethernet for faster and more reliable speed. Must have a private, distraction-free area of your home for working. Effective Date / Tentative Start Date: Interviewing Immediately. This position will start in January 2022. Job Duties: Perform code abstraction of medical records to ensure ICD-10-CM codes are accurately assigned and supported by clinical documentation Identify diagnosis and chart level impairments and documentation improvement opportunities for provider education Assist coding leadership by making recommendations for process improvements to further enhance coding goals and outcomes Maintain current knowledge of ICD-10-CM codes, CMS documentation requirements, and state and federal regulations Consistently maintain a minimum 95% accuracy on coding quality audits Meet minimum productivity requirements as outlined by the project terms Handle other related duties as required or assigned Requirements CPC-A, CCA, CPC, RHIA, RHIT, CRC Ability and desire to hit metrics High school diploma or GED (required and verified) Technically savvy (ability to learn software and troubleshoot equipment as needed) Private, distraction-free area in your home high speed internet, ability to be hard wired in with ethernet for faster connectivity No experience required Ability to pass a background check and drug test WHO SHOULD APPLY?
