Senior Accountant - Well-established local CPA firm Our client, a local CPA firm that was founded over 100 years ago, is currently seeking a Senior Accountant with public accounting experience. Possess technical knowledge sufficient to supervise staff and associate accountants and evaluate their performance. Assume responsibility for the supervision of tax return preparation engagements. Plan, coordinate and supervise the various phases of routine audit engagements. Begin to develop a command of GAAP, other comprehensive basis of accounting or specialized accounting principles. Serve in in-house educational programs as an instructor or discussion leader. Assist in recruiting of new staff and developing training aids. Advise partners and managers of client development ideas or contacts. Perform other duties as assigned from time to time by the supervising seniors, managers or partners. Preferred Qualifications for the Senior Accountant: Bachelor''s degree in accounting with 30 credit hours in accounting courses 3+ years of public accounting experience; CPA a plus Excellent communication skills
