Registered Nurse- Home Infusion

General Purpose: Interim HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse to work in patient''s homes in the Portland area. Must have at least one year of infusion/IV experience. The Infusion/Intravenous Therapy RN will provide nursing management and care coordination of the patient receiving infusion and/or intravenous therapy that is consistent with standards of practice, established institutional policy and state statutes, and under the order of a physician.Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Follows accepted standards of nursing practice and uses clinical decision making to efficiently and effectively manage individual patients.Participates in ongoing interdisciplinary assessment of the patient. Completes initial and ongoing comprehensive assessments of the patient''s needs at appropriate time points as assigned.Recognizes abnormal conditions or potential problems, take appropriate action, and notify appropriate personnel.Documents interventions and evaluations accurately and promptly; demonstrate understanding of policies within institution, and interact with others to promote and enhance positive relationships.Participates in activities to ensure the safety of the patient (i.e., monitoring and use of equipment, medication and solutions; positioning patient, use of aseptic technique and infection control methodology).Administers medications/infusions under the order of a physician and according to state practice act.Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:Registered Nurse with current license in state(s) in which he/she is employed and practices.One (1) year RN experience within the past 5 years, which includes the practice of infusion therapy in the medical-surgical or critical care setting.Evidence of current BLS training.
