Studio Technician/Steadicam Operator

WUSA9, the TEGNA-owned CBS affiliate in Washington, DC, is currently seeking a talented and qualified candidate for a Part-Time weekday Studio Technician / Steadicam Operator. Responsibilities: Steadicam Operator for the early AM shows Monday - FridayRobotic Camera setup and operation for live newscasts, webcasts, cut-ins, local programs, and commercial projectsEnsuring effective interaction between the control room and studioLive Shot Acquisition and Media Ingest Requirements: Strong working knowledge of studio and location equipment including, but not limited to: Steadicam Operation, Robotic studio cameras, Studio Lighting, Live shot acquisition and media ingest processes, and Teleprompter Operation.Experience with ENPS and Bit Central server systems also a plus.Directing experience in an automated control room a plusTwo (2) years'' experience in various aspects of television production preferredExcellent communication skills, with an emphasis on working as a team with producersStrong leadership and organizational skillsKnowledge of Metropolitan Washington, DCPersonal integrity, teamwork, accountability, problem solving, strong work ethicAbility to work weekends and holidaysAble to stand for extended periods of timeComfortable with ladders and heightsAble to lift and carry up to 50lbsOther duties as assignedWork Environment: OfficePhysical Demands: Light workTravel: Rarely: less than 10«out TEGNA TEGNA Inc.
