Microbiology Lab Assistant - Temp

The Quality Control Microbiology Department will train a successful applicant in:Current compendia methods applied in the pharmaceutical industry.Environmental Monitoring and Water testing Operation and calibration of the various Instruments and equipment.Proper documentation practices.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Prepare microbiological media for use in laboratory.Operate autoclave for routine sterilization of laboratory supplies and mediaPerform growth promotion and negative control testing on media.Perform sampling and testing of utilities including water for pharmaceutical use.Perform Gram staining and differentiation of isolates.Documents routine procedures following laboratory and company guidelines (SOP''s).Perform required data analysis, compiles data and prepares results for review and trending. Other duties as assigned by Microbiology Lab Supervisor or Manager.
