Job DescriptionThe Crisis Services Coordinator role is essential in oversight of a robust crisis system that will be expanding into all of Pinal and Gila Counties, in addition to our footprint in Maricopa County. Crisis services are available to all individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis, not just Mercy Care members, and supporting the most populous county in the state, as well as two more counties with rural needs, requires the ability to manage multiple tasks, track and trend significant data, and assist in improving processes to build upon the current crisis system. The new RFP effective 10/1/2022 will have a new crisis policy that includes expansion of mobile crisis services in locations such as hospitals and jails, as well as a new deliverable required by AHCCCS that will show more effectively the functioning of the behavioral health crisis system.Significant to the implementation of the ACC-RBHA RFP is the agreement upon, selection, and implementation of a statewide crisis line vendor that can be the central crisis line hub across the state of Arizona, can manage data across multiple crisis providers, manage the call center, utilize a data repository, and with data host a bed registry dashboard to provide real-time availability for beds to ensure those in crisis are able to get to the right level of care at the right time. The Crisis Services Coordinator will be instrumental in the development of this project, as well as the ongoing connection and oversight to ensure crisis services in our three counties are functioning, available, and serving all those in need.The Crisis Services Coordinator will work with current and new providers within the crisis system to ensure requirements are being met and the community is being served, including the crisis line vendor, crisis mobile teams, and crisis facilities. The second Crisis Services Coordinator position will work alongside the other Crisis Services Coordinator to manage meetings with providers, using a strategic plan for the crisis system to guide goals and track progress, as well as reviewing and presenting on data as needed.The Crisis Services Coordinator while not primarily involved with the CIT Training will still be supportive of our role in attending and helping the training as needed, both in Maricopa County and as we expand into the other two counties, which may include assisting with finding subject matter experts to present in the training, sending invites, being available in the training to help with coffee/snacks and other needs that may arise, and/or other logistics related to the class. The Crisis Services Coordinator may assist in community activities, including the Annual Standdown, National Guard Warrior Games, HOPE events, and other community events to promote the crisis system in our current region and expanded region effective 10/1.
